To the Family of Carl Meisner Just arrived home from out of town and was checking my emails when I learned of Carl's death. Please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of such a wonderful man. Just last week someone asked me how did I get involved in the legislative process and I shared with them my mentor, Carl Meisner. As the conversation ended, I thought I haven't talked to him in a while. When I came to work at JWB, part of Carl's job was lobbying and public policy. I thought that aspect of his job was fascinating and he took me under his wings. Because of him, I found an enjoyable and rewarding niche. Dianne, so sorry we never met. He was a heck of a guy. I am sorry to hear of Carl's passing. I have been with JWB for 27 years and worked with Carl back in the 80's and when he was the JWB Interim Director. He was a great person to work with and for. It's been a while since I last saw Carl, but whenever I would see him, he always offered his warm smile and friendship. A wonderful man who touched many lives. He will be missed.

To the Meisner family my prayers are with you knowing that Dr. Meisner is resting in the arms of Jesus. There will be no more pain, doctors or medicine to endure anymore. For weaping may endure for a night but Joy unspeakable Joy cometh in the morning. Continue to look to the hills from whence cometh your help knowing our help comes from the Lord. Peace and Blessing to the family. Felicia

Dear family, I was very sorry to hear about Dad's passing. Although I haven't seen him for several years, I have many great memories from the 20 years I was in the family. Dad was always very good to me and he always made sure I sat next to him at every special holiday meal. I would like all of the family to know that they are in my thoughts during this very sad time, and that Jesse and Lauren (his 2 grandchildren from Colorado) are also thinking of them at this sad time, too. With much love, Sue

In an interview for a job at JWB in Jan 1985, Carl asked me if I was ready to come back to work full time after the birth of my daughter in Sept. When I said not really, he suggested I follow my heart because I would never be able to live these moments with my daughter again. I was always grateful for his warm and compassionate counsel. I have been at JWB 20 years. Carl will be missed.

Debbie, I was very sorry to learn of your loss. Having been without my own father for over 20 years, I understand your loss and know that it is always difficult no matter how long you have a father with you on earth. I know you have many happy memories to give you solace in this time of sorrow. Your father must have been a great personality and role model for you because you are a very special person with a kind heart and a gentle loving spirit. Know that I will be thinking of you and praying for you and your family. Nancy Kelley
