I am still in shock over Ellen's passing. I just visited with her at Menorah Manor and we spoke of having a "recovery" party with all her friends. She is much loved and will be sorely missed. I will miss the lunches when she brought her father up, and the luncheons we had at the office...Ellen always brought the "pickles, olives etc"...We love you Ellen and we will miss the devotion you showed for your father, Leon, and the devotion you showed to us, your friends...you were "One in a Trillion"!!!

Leon, I will miss your dear devoted daughter. She and I became comrades since you and my mom moved into Menorah Manor. Her devotion to you was never-ending. Her cheerful smile and attitude still linger in my memory. Each time I enter the doors to Menorah, I will always see Ellen spending time with you. Ellen, you will be missed by more people than you personally knew. Rest peacefully. Karen Leon

We have lost suddenly and tragically a dear long-time friend -- always consistent with her genuine smile, concern and compassion for others. We have lost a beloved member of our congregation, someone you could talk candidly at anytime about anything! First hand, we know what a loving and devoted daughter she was and the Mitzvah that came so naturally in caring for her dear parents. She gave so freely of herself -- in both time, energy and human interaction. Her departure has still not fully sunk in . . . she will be sorely missed as a classy lady who always had time for friends and family alike. She was the real deal . . . Ellen, we miss you already!
