Obituary of Judy Buns

     Judy Ann Buns, 74, of Largo, died peacefully at her home on Tuesday, May 24th, after a long illness. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1947, a daughter of T. Donnell and Edith Ashton Schildwachter, she married Jack Buns in Lutherville, Maryland, in 1973. They were married for 49 years. Judy was a homemaker and a longtime member of Congregation B’nai Israel, St. Petersburg. She was absolutely devoted to her children and grandchildren. She is survived by husband, Jack Buns, Largo, brother, Dr. Thomas Schildwachter (Allison), Charlottesville, Virginia, sister, Nancy Ross, Baltimore, son, Dr. Michael Buns (Brenna), Sandy Spring, Maryland, daughter Sarah Griffith (Chris), St. Petersburg, and four grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Park, Largo, at 3 P.M. on Thursday, with Rabbi Alter Korf, of Chabad of St. Petersburg, officiating. Contributions in Judy’s name can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to Chabad of St. Petersburg.
