Obituary of Lawrence H. Grieger

Larry was preceded in death by his parents Paul & Mary Grieger. Survived by his loving wife Mary of 58 years, two daughters, Mary Beth Kerstein (Gary) two grandsons Zachary & Maxwell and Susan Weaver (Edward); son Mark. Further survived by sister Linda Pike (Norman) and many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

 

He was involved in many groups and organizations.  He grew up in Rochester, NY where he met and married his sweetheart.  They moved to Woodhaven, MI 1973 where they lived for 30 years.  While there he was in the Woodhaven Moose, and the ushers of Our Lady of the Woods Catholic Church.  They also had a cottage in Canada in Rondeau Provincial Park for 27 years.  While in Canada he loved lawn bowling in Ridgetown.

He retired to St. Petersburg, FL where he enjoyed being a member of The Club of Treasure Island, and very proud to be a member of the St. Petersburg Police Road Patrol. He so much loved friends and playing cards, traveling and cruising. They also have a mountain home in Sautee Nacoochee, GA in the Skylake Community.  He loved it there with his friends and of course the Liars Club.  A member of St. Paul the Apostle Church. A memorial service will be planned at a later date.

The care of Mr. Grieger and his family has been entrusted to David C. Gross Funeral Home, St. Petersburg.
