Obituary of Betty Jean Garrett

Mrs. Betty Jean Garrett, 

July 29, 1930 – December 6, 2020

 

Betty Garrett, age 90, of St. Petersburg, Florida, died Sunday, December 6, 2020. Betty was born July 29, 1930 in Englewood, Tennessee, daughter of the late Robert and Alice Thompson.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, watching Wheel of Fortune, and listening to George Jones songs.  She was also an Eastern Star. 

 

Betty was proceeded in death by her husband, Cassell “Clyde” Garrett, son-in-law Paul Terry, grandsons, Glenis Mullins III and Shawn Baker and several brothers and sisters.  Survivors include her children:  two sons, Larry Garrett (Debby), Rock Hill, SC, and Gary Garrett (Donna), St. Petersburg, Florida; four daughters, Emma Mullins (Glennis) St. Petersburg, Florida, Lana Terry, Cincinnati, Ohio, Linda Masterman (Larry), Wellington, Florida, Rita Fine (William) Treasure Island, Florida and several grandchildren,  great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

 

A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 11, at 11:00 a.m. at David C. Gross funeral home with Rev. Gordon Shinn officiating.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel at David C. Gross funeral home.  Interment will be at Woodlawn Memory Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the charity of your choice.

The care of Betty Jean and her family has been entrusted to David C. Gross Funeral Home in St. Petersburg.
