Obituary of Esther B. Guinan

Guinan- Esther B. 84 of St. Petersburg passed away Friday January 21, 2005 at her residence under the care of Hospice of the Florida Suncoast. Born in Pittsburgh Pa, she came here in 1969 from Pittsford New York and was a homemaker. An avid gardener, she was a longtime member of the Pittsford Garden Club and was a designated judge for Ikebana. Locally, she was a member of the St. Petersburg Garden Club, and was a past president and long time board member of the Pasadena Women's Club. An enthusiastic golfer, she worked at LPGA tournaments at Locust Hill Country Club. She was also a member of the Lutheran Church of the Holy Comforter, Treasure Island where she was active in church affairs and served on its board. Survivors include her husband of 62 years Robert S., a son Robert Jr and two grandchildren Robert III (Trip) and Johanna Colegrove. David C. Gross Funeral Homes and Cremation Center, Central Avenue Chapel, St. Petersburg is in charge of arrangements. A memorial service will take place at 11AM Saturday, January 29, 2005 at the Lutheran Church of the Holy Comforter, 10255 Paradise Blvd. Treasure Island with Rev. Paul Pieper, officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pittsburgh PA. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Pasadena Women's club in memory of Esther B. Guinan.
