Obituary of Virginia Rolison Myers

MYERS - Virginia Rolison, age 83, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2005 at her residence. She moved to Florida in 1960 from her native Terra Haute, Indiana where she was an English teacher at the Gerstmeyer High School for thirteen years. She earned her Bachelor's and Master's degree from the Indiana State Teacher's College in Terra Haute. Locally, she was a member of the Lake Maggiore Baptist Church in St. Petersburg and served as a volunteer Sunday school teacher at the Masonic Home for over twenty-five years. Survivors include her husband of fifty-seven years, William H. Myers and a sister-in-law, Doris Myers. Friends will be received Tuesday, March 29, 2005 from 4-6 p.m. at David C. Gross Funeral Home, where funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Ronald Fluker and Rev. Robert Christie officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens. The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Lake Maggiore Baptist Church, 4100 9th St. S., St. Petersburg, 33705. David C.
