Obituary of Marilyn Graef

Graef- Marilyn Smith 75 of St. Petersburg died Monday April 18, 2005 at Hospice House, Palms of Pasadena Hospital after a short illness. She was born in Dayton Ohio; graduated from Oakwood High School and then attended Penn Hall College in Chambersburg PA. She moved to the St. Petersburg area in 1978 with her late husband Jack where they enjoyed the winter months together. During the summer they would travel to their Lake house on Lake George, Coldwater Michigan. She was a member of the Junior League of Dayton and spent many years as a volunteer at the Coldwater Community Health Center and Bayfront Medical Center. She enjoyed golf and tennis and was a member of the Isla del Sol Country Club and was a former member of the Pass-a-Grille Yacht Club and Lakewood Country Club. One of her greatest joys in life was her four legged friend "Rudy". He was her greatest companion. She will be missed by Rudy and her survivors which include Linda and David Stein, Dallas TX; Jack and Annette Graef, Coldwater MI; Susan Shettler and Douglas Byrd, St. Petersburg FL; five grandchildren Eric, Chris, Adam, Michael and Sara and one great-grandchild Caleb, her sisters Jane Smith Tuverson, Dayton OH and Frances and William Junk, Washington Courthouse OH and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the David C. Gross Funeral Home on Friday April 22, 2005 from 4-6PM where funeral services will be Saturday at 11AM with Rev. C. Curtis Hess, officiating.
