Obituary of Sharon Lee Derry

Derry- Sharon Lee 65 of St. Petersburg passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at Bayfront Medical Center. Born in Yakima Washington, she came here in 1987 from Rockford, Illinois and was a Representative Payee. She was a former Commissioner for the City of Maderia Beach and served on their Board of Adjustment. She was the founder and president of the Children For Learning Disabilities in Illinois; the founder of the Democratic Womens Club of Upper Pinellas and made Quilts for Project Linus. Survivors include her husband of 49 years Robert D.; two sons Michael and Robert both of St. Petersburg; a daughter Barbara Glomski of Chicago and a grandson Aidan Staskauskas. David C. Gross Funeral Homes and Cremation Center, Central Avenue Chapel, St. Petersburg. A memorial service will take place Friday, May 27, 2005 at 1PM in St. Vincents Episcopal Church, 5441 9th Avenue North. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Friends of Strays, All Childrens Hospital or the Make-a-Wish Foundation. Service Information
