Obituary of Edwin M. Ellis

Ellis- Edwin M. 91 of South Pasadena passed away Sunday October 9, 2005 at his residence. Born in Watertown South Dakota, he came here in 1976 from Ames Iowa. He was a retired Veterinary Bacteriologist for the United States Department of Agriculture. He held doctorate degrees in Bacteriology & Public Health and Veterinary Medicine. He was a member of Pasadena Community Church, the Quarter Century Wireless Association Pelican Chapter, Bay Area Electric Boaters Club, American Veterinary Medical Association and was a fellow of the American Academy of Microbiology. He served in the National Guard. Survivors include his wife of 35 years Carmen; four daughters Carolyn Lee Ellis of San Antonio Texas, Pamela Gunderson of Des Moines Iowa, Patricia Magoon of Ames Iowa and Penelope Fiscus of Fort Dodge Iowa; a brother Jerome Ellis of Saginaw Michigan; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. David C. Gross Funeral Homes and Cremation Center, Central Avenue Chapel, St. Petersburg is serving the family. A visitation will take place Friday October 14, 2005 from Noon until 2PM at David C. Gross Funeral Home, 6366 Central Avenue St. Petersburg with entombment following at Woodlawn Memory Gardens. A memorial service will be held Saturday October 15, 2005 at 3PM in the Goodwin Chapel of Pasadena Community Church, 227 70th Street South, St. Petersburg with Reverand Sylvia Russell, officiating. Memorial donations have been suggested to Hospice of the Florida Suncoast or the Salvation Army. Service Information
