Obituary of Ruth A. Murphy

MURPHY - Ruth Ackerman, 89, of Treasure Island, passed away Friday, November 4, 2005 at Menorah Manor in St. Petersburg. Born in New York City, she came to Florida in 1957 from Erie, Pennsylvania. She was the owner of the Tarheelia Motel on Treasure Island for many years. Survivors include three sons; Denis Gruskin of Reston, Virginia; Steven Gruskin of San Francisco, California and .David Gruskin of St. Petersburg; one grandson, Kyle Gruskin of San Diego, California and one granddaughter, Brej Asner of Washington, D.C. Graveside services to be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 8, 2005 at Chapel Hill Memorial Park, Largo,with Rabbi Gabriel Ben-Or officiating. David C. Gross Funeral Homes, Beth David Chapel, St. Petersburg is serving the family. The family suggests memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, be made to Menorah Manor. Service Information
