Obituary of Goldie Esther Melnick

MELNICK - Goldie Esther, 80, of St. Petersburg, passed away Monday, December 5, 2005 at Menorah Manor in St. Petersburg. She came to Florida in 1995 from her native Liberty, New York. She was a fifth grade school teacher for twenty five years in the Monticello, New York school system. She was a member of Congregation B'nai Israel and was a member of, and served as past president of its Sisterhood. She was a member and past president of Hadassah, a member of Brandeis University Women and Reach for Recovery. Survivors include one son, Andrew Melnick of New York City; two daughters, Cynthia Weisberg of Tierra Verde and Stephanie Volk of St. Petersburg; one sister, Mollie Wild of Tamarac, Florida; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at David C. Gross Funeral Homes, Beth David Chapel, 6366 Central Avenue, St. Petersburg, with Rabbi Jacob Luski, D.D. officiating. Interment services will take place Thursday in Liberty, New York. David C. Gross Funeral Homes, Beth David Chapel, St. Petersburg is serving the family. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Congregation B'nai Israel, Menorah Manor or Hospice of the Florida Suncoast. Service Information
