Obituary of John J. Joseph

Joseph- John J. 86 of St. Petersburg passed away Saturday December 10, 2005 at Menorah Manor, St. Petersburg. Born in Germany, he came here in 1970 from Lansing Michigan and was a retired Sales Representative of Men's Clothing. He was a member of Congregation B'nai Israel and Temple Beth-El; the MG Club; Countryside Country Club; the Menorah Manor Foundation and was a docent at the Florida Holocaust Museum. He was a musician, a master train builder and was an enthusiast of remote control airplanes. During World War II, he served in the Army's OSS and the 10th Mountain Division, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. Survivors include his wife Marion Samson-Joseph; two daughters Debbie Beetem of Largo and Joni Johnston of St. Petersburg; two step-sons Paul Samson of Tampa and Tal Kramer of Marietta Georgia; two step-daughters Dori Nussbaum and Barbara Guterman both of Potomac Maryland; a sister Dorotha Blakeslee of East Lansing Michigan; four grandchildren Christopher, Christina Olivia and Taylor and fourteen step-grandchildren, Blair, Troy, Chase, Alec, Ashley, Dillon, Brian, Brett, Blake, Isabella, Roman, Rachel, Aaron and Eve. A memorial service will be 4PM Monday, December 12, 2005 in the Jules and Ida Lowengard Synagogue at Menorah Manor, 255 59th Street North, St. Petersburg with Rabbi Gabriel Ben-Or officiatingI Memorial donations suggested to Menorah Manor or the Florida Holocaust Museum in memory of John J.
