Obituary of Morris Brookstein

Brookstein- Morris 90 of Palm Harbor died Saturday December 24, 2005 at Mease Countryside Hospital, Safety Harbor. He was born in Brooklyn NY and came here in 1998 from Hackensack New Jersey. He managed the largest commercial building in NYC, then owned by the Helmsley Corporation, known as the Starrett-Leigh Building. He was a commercial real estate broker and volunteered for the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Teaneck New Jersey. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and served on a destroyer during World War II. Morris was a member of the Jewish faith and is survived by his wife of 66 years, Rosalie; a son Harvey Brooks of Beverly Hills FL and daughter-in-law Catherine; two daughters Ilene Banker of Oak Hill VA and son-in-law Charles, and Elyse Fredricks of Palm Harbor FL and son-in-law Neil; and four grandchildren, Michelle and Lauren Banker and Erica and Tyler Fredricks. David C. Gross Funeral Homes, Beth David Chapel, St. Petersburg is serving the family. Graveside services will be 11AM Monday, December 26, 2005 at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, Clearwater with Rabbi Gabriel Ben-Or, officiating.
