Obituary of Sigmond L. Kahn

KAHN - Dr. Sigmond L., 89, of Largo, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2005 at Oak Manor Nursing Center in Largo. Born in Charleston, South Carolina, he came to Florida in 1970 from Dayton, Ohio where he was a graduate of the University of Dayton. He was a graduate of the Kirksville Osteopathic School of Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri and was physician on staff at Grandview Hospital in Dayton as well as Sun Coast Hospital in Largo. He was a Mason, an avid Ham radio operator and was active in several organizations at Top of the World in Clearwater. Survivors include his wife of fifty-nine years, Betty; three sons, Gary of Clearwater, Jan of Chicago, Illinois and Raymond of Fairfax, Virginia; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two nieces, Jo Ellen Cohen and Marsha Pinsky, both of Cincinnati, Ohio and two nephews, Dennis Kahn of Dayton, Ohio and Sherman Kahn of Davison, North Carolina. Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at Chapel Hill Memorial Park in Largo with Rabbi Michael Torop officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park, Menorah Gardens. David C. Gross Funeral Homes, Beth David Chapel, St. Petersburg is serving the family.
