Obituary of Harold Sokolsky
Sokolsky- Harold 77 of Gulfport passed away Tuesday January 31, 2006
At the Health and Rehabilitation Center at Dolphins View, South Pasadena.
Born in New York City, he came here in 2003 from Burlington New Jersey. He
received his bachelors degree in professional studies from Elizabethtown (PA) College
in May 1981, and his masters degree in Humanities from California State University, Domingues Hills in December 1982. He was a Audiovisual Producer for the
Boy Scouts of America, and later became the Assistant to the Chief Scout Executive
serving a total of 38 years. He served in the Army during the Korean War,
where he received the bronze star for valor. He was a
member of the Order of the Arrow, B.S.A. Survivors include his wife
of 33 years Margaret; three daughters Elaine (Michael) Mikurak of Gulfport,
Deborah (Joseph) Guglielmo of New Rochelle NY and Patricia (Dennis) Springsteen of Marietta GA; a son Mark (Karen) Lamb of Yardville New Jersey; two sisters Enid Serebransky of Tucson AZ and Miriam (Richard) Nava of Fort Lee NJ; a brother Sollie (Irene) Sokolsky of San Francisco CA; twelve grandchildren and two
great grandchildren.
David C. Gross Funeral Homes and Cremation Center, Central Avenue Chapel, St. Petersburg is serving the family.
A private memorial service is planned for Thursday, February 2nd, 2006. Burial will be at Bay Pines National Cemetery, Bay Pines, Florida.
