Obituary of Joan S. Friedman

Friedman- Joan S. 73 of Pinellas Park passed away Thursday February 2, 2006 at her home. She came here in 1970 from her native Philadelphia PA and was a homemaker. She was President of the Aliyah Chapter of Hadassah;, was on the Pinellas County Library Advisory Board; was formerly on the Broward County Library Board; was a member of the Quad City Garden Club, Ft. Lauderdale; was a past Girl Scout leader and was a district director for the Freedom Valley Girl Scout Council. She was a former member of Congregation B'nai Israel St. Petersburg, Temple B'nai Israel Clearwater and Congregation Beth Sholom Gulfport. Survivors include her husband of 54 years Harold G.; two sons Fred of St. Petersburg and Ross of Pinellas Park; a daughter Esther Lehmkuhl of Pinellas Park; a sister Adele Yantes of Philadelphia and two grandchildren. David C. Gross Funeral Homes, Beth David Chapel, St. Petersburg is serving the family. Funeral services will be 9:30AM Monday, February 6, 2006 in the Beth David Chapel of David C. Gross Funeral Homes with Rabbi Arthur Baseman, officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park, Largo. Memorials, in lieu of flowers would be appreciated to Hospice of the Florida Suncoast. Service Information
