Obituary of Esther Goldman

GOLDMAN - Esther, 86, of Largo, formerly of Clearwater, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2006 at Hospice House Woodside in Pinellas Park. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she came to Florida in 1977 from University Heights, Ohio, where she taught disabled children in the University Heights school system. She was a chemist during WW II. She was a member of the Ohio Teacher's Association, A.A.R.P., a former member of Temple B'nai Israel and its Sisterhood, in Clearwater, and Brandeis University National Women's Club. Locally she was a volunteer at several schools and nursing homes including the Long Center; Stephen's School, King's Highway and Discovery School; Bay View Nursing Pavilion, Manor Care and Mease Continuing Care. Prior to moving to Largo, she lived at Top of the World where she wrote a column for the Top of the World Lapidary Club. Survivors include two sons; Allen Krotman of Fairfax, Virginia and Robert Goldman of Naples, Florida; two daughters, Sandy Krotman of Washington, D.C. and Lynda Riley of Kittery Point, Maine; eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Graveside services will be 3:00 PM Sunday, March 26, 2006 at Curlew Hills Memory Gardens, 1750 Curlew Road, Palm Harbor, with Mr. Zell Savitz officiating. The family suggests memorial donations in lieu of flowers be made to Hospice House Woodside, 6770 102nd Avenue North, Pinellas Park, Fl. 33782. Service Information
