Obituary of Richard M. Weinberger

Weinberger- Richard M. 75 of St. Petersburg passed away Sunday, April 23, 2006 at his home. Born in New York City, he came here in 1979 from Valley Stream, New York. After working on Wall Street in New York City for many years, he moved to St. Petersburg to work for Raymond James and Associates. He served in many capacities, including regional branch manager and financial planner. He was a member of Temple Beth-El and its brotherhood; the Kiwanis; Lions Club; the Florida Orchestra where he served as a board representative; was a former member and past president of the Securities Dealers Association; a former member of Temple Emanu-El of Manhattan, where he taught Sunday School; a former member of Temple B'nai Israel, Clearwater where he taught Sunday School and a former board member of the Jewish Community Center of Pinellas County. He was a volunteer fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. During Korea, he served in the Army. Survivors include his wife of 48 years Gloria; a son Steve of Tampa; a daughter Robin Weinberger of San Francisco; a brother Ted Weinberger of Miami and two grandchildren Daniel and Sydney. David C. Gross Funeral Homes, Beth David Chapel, St. Petersburg is serving the family. Funeral services will be 2PM Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at Temple Beth-El, 400 Pasadena Avenue South, St. Petersburg with Rabbi Michael Torop and Rabbi Richard J. Birnholz, officiating. Burial will follow In Royal Palm Cemetery-South, St. Petersburg. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Hospice of the Florida Suncoast, the American Cancer Society or Menorah Manor, St. Petersburg. Service Information
