Obituary of Lusia Igel

Igel- Lusia 91 of Largo passed away Saturday, May 6, 2006 at her home. Born in Czechoslovakia, she came here in 1980 from Fort Lee New Jersey, where she was office manager. She was a member of Temple B'nai Israel of Clearwater and its Sisterhood; Congregation Beth Shalom of Clearwater and it's Sisterhood; Hadassah; ORT; Jewish Federation of Pinellas County; was a founder of the Golda Meir/Kent Jewish Community Center and was an avid supporter of the Pinellas County Jewish Day School and the Florida Holocaust Museum. She was a Holocaust survivor. Survivors include a son Dr. Stephen Igel and a daughter Toni Rinde both of Largo; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. David C. Gross Funeral Homes, Beth David Chapel, St. Petersburg is serving the family. Funeral services will be 10AM Monday, May 8, 2006 in Temple B'nai Israel, 1685 South Belcher Road, Clearwater with Rabbi Arthur Baseman, Rabbi David Weizman and Rabbi Danielle Upbin, officiating. Interment will follow in Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, Clearwater. The family suggests memorial donations to the Pinellas County Jewish Day School or the Temple B'nai Israel Igel Torah Fund.
