Obituary of Elvira Galterio Simonton

SIMONTON - Elvira Galterio, 93, of St. Petersburg, formerly of South Pasadena, died Friday, May 19, 2006 at Westminster Suncoast in St. Petersburg. Born in Paterson, New Jersey, she came to Florida in 2001 from Warwick, New York. She was an administrative assistant in the guidance department of the Wayne, New Jersey school district for seventeen years and was a member of the Wayne, N.J. Retirees, the New Jersey Education Association and the National Education Association. Survivors include two daughters, Marilyn (Francesco) Scarpetta of St. Petersburg and Laurie (William) Piontkowski of Vernon New Jersey; four grandchildren, Scott Annaheim of Kinnelon, New Jersey, Lisa Annaheim of Palm Coast, Florida, Todd Piontkowski of Wantage, New Jersey and Michael Piontkowski of Millsboro, Delaware; four great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Virgina and Heidi Annaheim and Kierstin Piontkowski. Funeral Services for Mrs. Simonton will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at David C. Gross Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. J. Fred McGuire officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memory Gardens in St. Petersburg. Friends will be received from 12 PM (Noon) through service time. David C. Gross Funeral Homes and Cremation Center, Central Avenue Chapel, St. Petersburg is serving the family.
