Obituary of Wallace A. Boyd

BOYD, Wallace "Bill", 86 of St. Petersburg passed away Thursday, May 25, 2006 at Palms of Pasadena Hospital. He came here in 1946 from his native Brooklyn, New York. He served in the Merchant Marines and later as a Chief Petty Officer in the Navy during World War II. He served on active and reserve duty for 25 years. He was a stock broker and branch manager for companies in St. Petersburg that include Thompson & McKinnon Brokerage, Bache and Company, Prudential, and Raymond James. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and past president of the Stock and Bond Club. He was an avid golfer. Survivors include his wife, Helen; two sons, Kevin, Seminole, FL., Richard, Arlington, VA; daughter, Carol Lakics, Butler, GA; three grandchildren, Stacy Johnson, Ocala, FL., Michele and Allyson Boyd, San Diego, CA; two great grandchildren, Austin and Dalton. Funeral services will be 11AM Friday, June 2, 2006 in the David C. Gross Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William Nicolaro, officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
