Obituary of Elsie Rosenberg

ROSENBERG - Elsie, 97, of Safety Harbor, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2006 at Menorah Manor in St. Petersburg. Born in Russia, she came to Florida in 1984 from Elmont, New York. She, along with her late husband, Abraham, owned and operated several Mom and Pop grocery stores for many years; first in South Ozone, New York, then Brooklyn followed by a couple of stores in Hollis, New York, including the "Little Giant Market". Survivors include two sons, Martin Rosenberg of Safety Harbor and Bernard Rosenberg of Brooklyn, New York; one daughter, Laura Kalos of Dunedin; one half sisters, Lillian Geiger of Fairlawn, New Jersey; seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Graveside services will take place 11:30 AM Wednesday, September 27, 2006, Rabbi David Schnitzler officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Ararat Cemetery in Farmingdale, New York. David C.
