Obituary of Peter Donald Griggs

GRIGGS - Peter D., 76, of St. Petersburg and Ruskin, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2006 at his residence in Ruskin. Born in Albany, New York, he came to Florida in 1982 from Detroit, Michigan where he was a purchasing agent and material coordinator in the steel industry having worked with several companies including Gibraltar Steel Mill. Locally, he was the property manager at Sylvett Condominiums in St. Petersburg for ten years. He served in the US Army and was Lutheran. Survivors include his wife of fifty-two years, Shirley; two daughters, Deborah L. Griggs of Jacksonville, Florida and Sharon Pritikin of Chicago, Illinois; one sister, Evelyn Burak of Warren, Michigan and three grandchildren. Mr. Griggs was predeceased by his son, Donald P. Griggs. Per his request, there will be no services held. David C. Gross Funeral Homes and Cremation Center, Central Avenue Chapel, St. Petersburg is serving the family. Service Information
