Obituary of Sylvan Zacks

Zacks- Sylvan 92 of St. Petersburg passed away Thursday October 5, 2006 at Menorah Manor, St. Petersburg. Born in Marietta PA, he came here in 1963 from Jamestown New York. He was the retired owner of Slimers Resort Wear which operated locations in Downtown St. Petersburg and Tyrone Square Mall for many years. He was a former member of Temple Beth-El and its Brotherhood. He was a Shriner. Survivors include a daughter Carla Ostermeir of St. Petersburg; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. David C. Gross Funeral Homes, Beth David Chapel, St. Petersburg is serving the family. Funeral services will be 9:30AM Monday, October 9, 2006 in the David C. Gross Funeral Home Chapel with Rabbi Shimon Moch officiating. Interment will follow in Royal Palm Cemetery-South. The family suggests memorials to the Shriners Hospital, Tampa Florida.
