Obituary of Ray Long

Long- Ray (Donald) 72 of St. Petersburg passed away Thursday October 19, 2006 at Bayfront Medical Center. Born in Thomasville Georgia, he came here in 1990 from Watertown New York. He was a retired air traffic controller for the Federal Aviation Administration. He was an avid coin collector, gardener and enjoyed fishing. He served in the Army during the Korean War. Survivors include three sons, Daniel of Tierra Ceia, Steven of Michigan City Indiana and Thomas of St. Augustine; a daughter Linda Long Annuzzi of Jacksonville; two sisters, Kitty L. Blow and Velna Hunter both of Thomasville GA; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. David C. Gross Funeral Homes and Cremation Center, Central Avenue Chapel, St. Petersburg is serving the family. A service in celebration of his life will be 1PM Wednesday October 25, 2006 in the David C. Gross Funeral Home Chapel, with interment to follow in Bay Pines National Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home from noon through service time. The family suggests memorials to the Shriners Hospital, Tampa. Service Information
