Obituary of Joseph Stern

STERN, Joseph "Joe", 99 of Clearwater. Died Thursday, November 30, 2006 at Mease Continuing Care in Dunedin. Born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, he came here in 1968 from Orlando. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was owner of a shoe store. He was a member of Congregation Beth Shalom and the Jewish War Veterans Post #409, both in Clearwater. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #291, Madeira Beach and American Legion Post # 7, Clearwater. Survivors include his wife, Elaine; two sons, Elliott W. Stern, Palm Harbor, Barry Cole Stern, North Ridge, CA; sister, May Marion Weiner, Delray Beach; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren Funeral service will be 2 PM on Monday (12/4/2006) at Congregation Beth Shalom, 1325 S. Belcher Rd., Clearwater, with Rabbi David Weizman officiating. Interment will follow in Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park. David C.
