Obituary of Leonard Greenberg

Greenberg- Leonard 74 of Redington Shores passed away Thursday February 15, 2007 at his home. He came here in 1967 from his native Rochester New York. He was the owner of Starkey Road Auto Parts, where he was referred to as the "Big Man". He was a member of Congregation B'nai Israel, St. Petersburg Abe Adar Post #246 Jewish War Veterans and was a thoroughbred horse breeder and trainer. During the Korean War, he served in the Navy. Survivors include his wife of 50 years Joanne; three sons Michael and Bryan of Oldsmar and Richard of Redington Shores; three daughters Susan Greenberg of Redington Shores; Sharon Jacobs of New Orleans and Elizabeth Johnson of Tampa, 13 grandchildren and one great-grandaughter. David C. Gross Funeral Homes, Beth David Chapel, St. Petersburg is serving the family. Funeral services 10AM Sunday, February 18 2007 in the David C. Gross Funeral Home Chapel, 6366 Central Ave, St. Petersburg, Rabbi Jacob Luski officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park, Largo. Donations in memory suggested to Menorah Manor.
