Obituary of Harold R. Jenkins

JENKINS - Harold R., 86, of St. Pete Beach, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2007 at Palms of Pasadena Hospital under the care of Hospice of the Florida Suncoast. Born in Chicago, Illinois, he came to Florida in 1984 from Park Ridge, Illinois. He was in the US Army having served in the signal corp. during WW II. He worked for Illinois Bell Telephone Company for forty-two years and was a member of Grace Bible Church in St. Petersburg. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and the American Legion Post #305, St. Pete Beach. Survivors include his wife of fifty-two years, Barbara; three sons, David (Laura) Jenkins of St. Petersburg; Mark (Renee) Jenkins of Mt. Prospect, Illinois and Dale (Pamela) Jenkins of Tampa, Florida; a daughter, Kim (Michael) Ternstrom of Elk Grove Village, Illinois; nine grandchildren; Morgan Dooley, Reid Jenkins, David Jenkins, Jennifer Jenkins, Jacob Jenkins, Julianna Jenkins, Corrine Bruick, Michelle Ternstrom and Mark Ternstrom and one great-granddaughter, Tori Bruick. Memorial services will be held 7 PM Thursday, April 19, 2007 at Grace Bible Church, 555 61st Street South, St. Petersburg with Pastor Tim Cole officiating. Burial will take place Friday, April 20, 2007 at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. The family suggests memorial donations be made in lieu of flowers to Hospice of the Florida Suncoast, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, Florida 33760. David C.
