Obituary of Robert R. Rosenfeld

ROSENFELD - Robert R., 88, of Deerfield Beach, formerly of St. Petersburg, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at North Broward Medical Center in Deerfield Beach. He came to Florida in 1971 from his native New York City moved to Deerfield Beach in 2004. He was in the Army Air Corps having served in WW II and was a graduate of Kansas State University where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Architect. He was an architect in the design industry for forty years and was one of the first glass elevator designers having designed the glass elevator at the Coronado Hotel in San Diego. He was a lifetime honorary member of Temple Beth-El in St. Petersburg and was a member of the Temple Beth-El Men's Club. He was an avid boater; a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, a Staff Commander of the U.S. Power Squadron and a twenty-seven year staff member of the U.S. Power Squadron magazine staff, having had his lighthouse photos appear on eighteen of the Ensign Power Squadron magazine covers. Survivors include two sisters; Henrietta Hantman and Mildred Wishnia, both of Deerfield Beach, Florida; a nephew, Neil Hantman of Parkland, Florida and a cousin, Lynne Tillman of Palm Beach, Florida. Mr. Rosenfeld was preceded in death by his wives, Hester Jane in 1979 and Rose in 2004. A private funeral has been planned, with interment at Chapel hill Memorial Park, Largo. David C.
