Obituary of Lois H. Parker

Parker- Lois H. 82 of St. Petersburg; loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother died Wednesday July 25, 2007 at Hospice House Woodside. Born in Wilkes-Barre PA, she came here in 1971 from Camp Hill PA. She retired from the Department of Veterans Affairs in 1990. After retirement, she volunteered at Bay Pines Medical Center, and her church, Pasadena Presbyterian where she was a member for 25 years and was the recipient of the life membership award of Presbyterian Women. She loved her family, her church and gardening. She is survived by two sons; Walter L. Darte of Slidell LA and Charles S. Darte of Winter Haven; two daughters Margaret L. Gott of Clearwater and Carol L. Parker of South Pasadena; six grandchildren Julie Garr and Christie Scavone of Palm Harbor; Micah Darte of Tampa, Alecia Darte of Orlando and William Hassen and Christopher Darte of Louisiana and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, July 27th from 5-7PM at David C. Gross Funeral Home in St. Petersburg. Services Saturday July 28th at Pasadena Presbyterian Church Chapel at 2PM. Interment will follow In Woodlawn Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials suggested to Hospice of the Florida Suncoast. DAVID C. GROSS FUNERAL HOMES is serving the family. Service Information
