Obituary of Charles E. Duty

Duty- Charles Emanuel, age 84, of St. Petersburg, passed away at his residence Thursday, August 2, 2007. Born in Bancoe, West Virginia, Mr. Duty came to Florida in 2003 from Sun City, Arizona where he was a member of the sheriff's auxillary and resided for seventeen years. He served in the US Army during WW II and was a member of the National Rifle Association. He was an engineer in the frozen food division of the Safeway grocery chain in Maryland and retired after thirty years of service. Following his retirement, he moved to Sun City, Arizona. He was an avid rock collector, belt maker and enjoyed making jewelry. He was a member of Family Fellowship Center in St. Petersburg. Survivors include a brother, Jesse H. Duty of San Antonio, Texas; three sisters, Lucy M. Baldwin and Nickoleen Harris, both of St. Petersburg and Isabelle Liberto of Beverly Hills, Florida. Memorial services will be held 10:00 AM Monday, August 6, 2007 at Family Fellowship Center, 5475 54th Avenue North, St. Petersburg, with Pastor Larry Blowe officiating. Burial will be private. David C. Gross Funeral Home is serving the family. The family suggests memorial donations be made in lieu of flowers to Hospice of the Florida Suncoast, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, Florida 33760. Service Information
