Obituary of Wilhelmine Heil

Wilhelmine Heil, age 94, of St. Petersburg and formerly of Gulfport, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at Palms of Pasadena Hospital in South Pasadena. Born in Germany to Otto and Anna Knaul, she moved to Florida in 1953. She was a private duty housekeeper for many years and a member of the Gulport Garden Club and a member of Garden Crest Presbyterian Church in St. Petersburg. She was an avid gardner and seamstress and was especially gifted at crocheting. She enjoyed cooking and was well known to bake wonderful cookies. Survivors include two sons; Werner (Donna) Heil of St. Petersburg, Fred (Freda) Heil of Keystone Heights, Florid;, her sister, Hedwig Hertel of Germany, grandson Eric (Dana) Heil and granddaughter, Alysen Heil, both of Athens, Georgia and two great-grandsons, Jack and Eli Heil, both of Athens, Georgia. Memorial services will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday, September 8, 2007 at David C. Gross Funeral Home Chapel, 6366 Central Avenue, St. Petersburg, with Pastor Tom Greene officiating. Private burial will take place at a later date in Germany. David C. Gross Funeral Home is serving the family.
