Obituary of Walter B. Roddenbery

Walter B. Roddenbery, III, 70, passed away on November 13, 2007, in St Petersburg, Florida. Funeral services will be held from graveside in the Cairo Cemetery at 3 p.m. on Thursday, November 15, 2007. Dr. Joe Allen will officiate. Mr. Roddenbery was born in Cairo, Georgia on October 3, 1937 to the now late Walter B. Roddenbery, Jr. and Virginia Middlebrooks Roddenbery. He was a graduate of Cairo High School, Georgia Tech, and Auburn University. He held degrees in physics, math, and electrical engineering. Mr. Roddenbery was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cairo. Survivors include his brothers, Paul Roddenbery and Seaborn Roddenbery, Cairo, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Brandon Roddenbery. David C. Gross Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Service Information
