Obituary of Tully Lovell

Tully Lovell, born November 5, 1919 in Mount Vernon, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2008. He died after a short battle with cancer. He retired as a building contractor and owner of Lovell's Interiors in 1998. He served in the Marine Corps during World War II, participating in the invasion of Guadalcanal. Tully loved fishing and hunting and was an honorary Kentucky Colonel. Tully was preceded in death by his brothers Sherman Lovell, Delbert Lovell, Tenneyson Lovell, Alonzo Lovell and sisters Lena Lovell-Brown, Zona Lovell-McClure, Sadie Lovell-Clontz, Ada Lovell-Doan, Rissie Lovell-McClure, Janis Lovell-Farris. Survivors are his wife of 63 years, Alma Lovell; daughters Beverly Oudjdaoui, Lynda Lovell-Hayden and Pam Lovell-Fanning; grandchildren, Tully Drecchio, Kerri Swift, Teresea Bernard-Breazeale and Amanda Fanning; great grandchildren, Tully and Jessie Drecchio, Samantha and Ricki Lynn Swift; sisters, Juanita Lovell-Farris and Vivian Lovell-Pittman; Nephew, Lee Roy McClure. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society. Memorial service will be Monday, January 21, 2008 at David C. Gross Central Avenue Chapel. David C.
