Obituary of Ann P. Kapulskey

Mrs. Ann Kapulskey, of St. Pete Beach, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2008. She was born in Newark, New Jersey and moved to Florida twenty years ago. She graduated on a full scholarship from N.Y.U and has her name permanently inscribed at the Washington Square campus for being first in her class. She was a French teacher in the New Jersey public school system for many years and was multilingual, speaking English, French and Spanish. She loved teaching and mentoring children as well as spending time with her grandchildren. Without fail, she did the New York Times crossword puzzles every Sunday. Several times she held the office of president of the FTEA (Freehold Township Education Association), and was a member of the Pasadena Yacht and Country Club where she enjoyed playing Mah-jongg. Survivors include her loving husband of fifty years, Abraham; her mother, Ida Reider of Jackson, New Jersey; two sons, Dr. Scott E. (Betsy) Kapulskey of Lumberton, New Jersey and David (Sharon) Kapulskey of Toms River, New Jersey; one daughter, Lisa (Frank) Cook of Freehold, New Jersey; two sisters, Ellen (John) Velmer of Freehold, New Jersey and Muriel (George) Swartz of Tavernier, Florida; five grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob and Rachel Kapulskey and Matthew and Rebecca Cook, all of New Jersey, and her very special friend, Nicole. Friends and family will gather from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM Friday, February 22, 2008 at David C. Gross Funeral Home Chapel, 6366 Central Avenue, St. Petersburg, Florida. A sharing of memories will follow at 3:00 PM. Shiva will be observed at the Cook residence in Freehold, New Jersey Sunday, February 24th from 1-9 PM, as well as Monday and Tuesday, February 25th & 26th from 6-9 PM.
