Obituary of A. Gilbert Turner

A. Gilbert "Gil" Turner 80 of St. Petersburg died Saturday March 8, 2008 at Coquina Key Health and Rehabilitation Center. A native of Pittsburgh PA, Gil came here in 1987 from Pittsburgh and was the former owner of Dividend Tire in Aliquippa. He was a member of Temple Beth-El and its Mens Club, Isla Del Sol Country Club and was past President of Isla Del Sol Homeowners Association (IDSOA).He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 57 years Ellen; loving children, Howard (Beth), Barbara (Don) DePalma and Susan Simmons; brother Edward; sister Helma Weinberg and eight cherished grandchildren; Lindsay, Steven, Emily, Jennifer, Sheena, Rebecca, Jordyn and Joseph. Funeral services will be 10AM Tuesday, March 11th at Temple Beth-El, 400 Pasadena Avenue So. Interment will follow in Royal Palm Cemetery-South, located on 1st Avenue South at the corner of 58th Street in St. Petersburg.
