Obituary of Ralph Kenneth Girton

Ralph Kenneth Girton 83, of Pinellas Park passed away August 22nd, 2008. Ralph was a St. Petersburg native born February 24th, 1925 and graduated from St. Petersburg High School in 1943. He was a building contractor and worked as a supervisor for Peter R. Brown Construction Company for many years. Ralph served in the Navy during World War II as an electrician 3rd class and later became a reservist in the local Sea Bee Reserve Unit at Bayboro Harbor, St. Petersburg. He also served as a past chancellor of the Knights of Pythias, lodge 42. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Pinellas Park, Boca Ciega Yacht Club and Golden Triangle Model Yacht Club. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Nancy Hinson; two daughters Patt (Al) Thackrah of Clearwater and Christine (Doug) MacIntosh of Tampa; son Bruce (Judy) Girton of Stratford, Connecticut; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A graveside committal will be 9:30AM Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at Royal Palm Cemetery, followed by a memorial service at 11AM in First United Methodist Church of Pinellas Park.
