Heart felt condolences. She was my grandfather’s dear friend and was wonderful to me when I was little. I still hav a hand made toy she made for me as a child. I understand she will be laid to rest next to my Grandfather Reuben Sabin.
My parents, Helen and Harold Silverberg adored Rivy and spent lots of time with her when they went to Rhode Scholar programs in Florida. I had limited time with Rivy, but each time was just a delight. Three years ago, my husband and I got to see Rivy in her home in Florida. We had a great time looking through her high school yearbook together and seeing family pictures. I was thrilled to see a picture of Rivy's mom since my middle name was given me in her memory.
We have known Rivi for almost forty years, and every memory is filled with her kindness, humor, and generosity. We will all miss her.
