I was very sad to learn of George's passing. May I pass my condolences to dear Estelle, Sheryl and all the other members of George's family. I was a customer of George's 1986-1990, at Tasco Sales UK. He was truly a unique person who motivated me and my staff. In 1990, I came to work for George in Miami and traveled with him extensively. George was always 100% focused and us younger ones had a job keeping up with him. If there is one moment I remember, that sums up George's attitude to life, it was one day when I informed him that we had a small problem and he responded "Alan, NO BIG DEAL, there is no such thing as a problem - only opportunities!" God bless you George, my friend and mentor, and I will always remember your great spirit and kindness.

"Tremendous", "Piece of cake", "No big deal", "Can you imagine"...just some of GR's favorite expressions he used on a daily basis. Even after his surgeries! He was so positive and excited about most of life and what it had to offer. Uncle George will truly be missed, his smile, words of wisdom, soft spoken thoughtfulness, he always asked questions of how everyone else is doing and loved talking business! He was handsome, brilliant, successful, thoughtful, sweet, extremely generous, a loving husband who put Estelle on a pedestal and was still so proud to call her his Bride. We're so blessed we had him for as long as we did and because of his character and charity he will live on forever! I'm so sad his physical body has passed, his soul and spirit is definitely present. As I've told you many many times Uncle George...Thank you, I love you.

The passing of George Rosenfield is the end of an era. George was an iconic figure in the sports optics world. Personally, George was a friend and a mentor. He seemed to take great pride in helping me succeed at Tasco, and later, in life. The private conversations we had were special and endearing. George truly was larger than life. I will miss him, but I know that I am truly a better person having known him. My thoughts and prayers are with Estelle, Sheryl, and Howard.

He was a great mentor to many and loved for it. We are saddened for our loss and will always cherish our memories and adventures with George. Our deepest sympathy to Estelle, Sheryl and family.

This message is for the entire Rosenfield family. It is with sadness that I learn of George's death and send my sympathy to all of George's relatives who have lost him. I had the pleasure of spending time with George over the years at one social event or another and found him exceedingly gracious and generous. He seemed genuinely happy to see me. His obituary really captures the substance and complexity of the man; George was so admirable in his accomplishments and drive. A businessman par excellence. But for me it was his devotion and pride in his family that really stands out. As someone who cares very much about Sheryl, George's daughter, I am especially sad that her father, with whom she was so close, is now gone. I wish her and those near to her the special joy in recalling the amazing life that George creatively crafted for himself and for Estelle and their children.

I do not know if she remembers me but I worked with Estelle and Iseko Levine in the quality assurance department when I was hired back in 1980, I had great memories there and I am saddened that Mr. George Rosenfield passed way, I also used to pick up his lunch at HER- BEST restaurant one corn beef sandwich cut in half with one pickle. I worked for Tasco until 2002 and even though I have a great job now, Tasco will always be my favorite job where I made lifetime friendships there. Thank you George.

Until I was 12 or 13 years old, I was convinced that George and Estelle were family of mine. The relationship they had with my grandparents, my parents and myself let me believe that. Although i know now for over 20 years that we are not related i feel like a lost a family member today. I am incredible sad and crying. George was one of the greatest and finest persons i have met. Dear Estelle, Sheryl and Howard: I am so sorry. Amit Gormanns

Dear Estelle, Dear Sheryl, Dear Howard, we were shocked to receive your message. I am happy that i was able to speak to George a couple of weeks ago, although i was sad to hear then, that he felt tired. I have known George for about 40 years and he treated me like a son. We always felt like we are one big family with the Rosenfields. George had a tremendous impact on my personal and business development and i have and will always be thankful for that. I am sad, but i am also happy that we had the opportunity to know him and to share our lives with him. We are very sorry for your loss and we are thinking about you. Daniel and Esti Gormanns & Family

My earliest memory of my uncle was of him swallowing my hand in his like a first baseman's mitt and pulling me close with a kiss on the cheek. Never slow to show affection. Family was family and he wanted all his family around him. And, friends were friends and he made many around the world. My Uncle taught me that we don't have "problems", we have "opportunitys". He always made time for everybody, his door always open and he gave full attention, making me and everyone feel special. "Tell me what's been happening, nephew", "tell me something good that has happened". Many times, I would pick up the phone and Uncle George would be at the other end with an idea that he thought I should pursue. "Have you seen this?, have you thought of that?, have you called so and so". Always bigger than life, always looming large, always there for me and everyone else. You are already very missed. A hole in my soul. I see your face, I hear your voice and thoughts and with that I carry on. It's not enough. But's it's a huge legacy you have left Uncle. I will love you always. Miller

Mr. Rosenfield did not put up with anything but perfection, but his manner was always kind and friendly when telling you that something wasn't quite what he expected! I always admired his tenacity in running his company and making it the best. He would call me to take notes when his secretary was absent and that was always a privilege for me. I and my husband, Peter, send our deepest sympathy to Sheryl and the rest of his family. He lived a good and productive life. I'm sure he will be missed by many.

I have only known the Rosenfields for a relatively short period. I spent time with Estelle and George on a few occasions, and George was always unfailingly kind, gracious and charming and a true gentleman. I know he will be sorely missed by his beloved Estelle and his children and grandchildren, but thankfully his memory will always be with them.

I was lucky enough to speak to George 2-3 times a day for the last 10 years. He was a friend, a mentor and an overall outstanding man. His honesty (sometimes brutal), integrity and kindness made him a man to be admired. I can only hope that someday someone might remember me as fondly as I will always remember George. My heart goes out to you, Estelle and family.

One early morning we met on the Biltmore Golf Course. It was a tough match but you took my dime. I called you a "sandbagger" and from there our friendship began. For years you took my money on the course and then you were kind enough to introduce me to your wife Estelle. She taught me a game called "Spite and Malice" and of course there was betting and more dimes were lost! Some days it was a "doubleheader involving cards and golf or dinner and cards. It was the time together that will be valued most. I will always remember you as a King of Kings. The stories of how you met and then finally married Estelle; the letters you wrote her; the words you spoke; the conversations we had; your stories of the building of Tasco; the dinners we shared; the good times at the Casino's; the challenges we shared; the life and death situations we walked together shall always be with me until, one day we meet again. You were a righteous man with a heart of Gold and you represented all that I reach to be. I love you George. May you rest in peace. P.S. I promise to stay close to your Queen Estelle and be there whenever she needs me. Your "other" Kids Guy, Sydney&Higgins

You have both been, (and are) my surrogate parents. Losing either of you is the same as the loss I experienced when my own parents died. I am so thankful that I have been blessed to have you both love me, and in turn have you both to love. Life is significantly less joyful without my "Uncle George". Along with the rest of the family, I grieve his absense, and open my heart even further toward Estelle. Robert
