Maui-wowee, that is what I called my mother in law. The day her daughter Julie introduced me to her, she was the epitome of a hippie stereotype. Big purple glasses and a psychedelic poncho, I knew that my liberal leanings would be okay in her eyes. I married her daughter and we had four children and 30 years together. Maui was always there for us as a young family. She would go on to become GG to the grands who adored her, and she them. She was cool, eclectic, and had a terrifically open mind. I will miss her. RIP Maui-wowee
