Obituary of Elsa Mekosh

Elsa Mekosh, 85, died due to Alzheimer’s dementia complications on April 18, 2023.

She was born Aug. 22, 1937, in Wilkes-Barre, PA, the daughter of Abbie Pezzner and Fay Rubin/Pezzner.She married Joseph Mekosh on 12/12/2009 and celebrated 14 years of marriage.Elsa was a funny, full-spirited, good listener that lit up the room and will be greatly missed. In addition, she was a member of the Red Hat Society.Surviving in addition to her husband Joseph Mekosh, are her sister Brenda Katz and husband Ronnie Katz,daughters Evelyn Mekosh and wife Rose Holbrook/Mekosh, Lisa Richards and husband Dwayne Richards, son Michael Baymen and grandchildren Carsen, Kyle, Lake, Dalton, and many nieces and nephews.

A service of remembrance will be held at 12:15 PM Sunday, April 23 atTemple B'nai Israel, at 1685 S Belcher Rd, Clearwater, FL 33764 Final resting at the Sarasota National Cemetery, at 11 AM Wednesday, April 26 at 9810 State Rd 72, Sarasota, FL 34241
