Obituary of William David Amerman
William “Wink” Amerman was born on September 2, 1979 in Clearwater, Florida. He is a true Florida Native and was lucky enough to live the lifestyle of a “Florida Kid”. Wink grew up boating, fishing, water sports, little league and of course golf. At about the age of 10, golf became Wink’s passion. Moving as a family to PYCC in 1989 gave him the opportunity to work on his golf skills. If you wanted to find Wink any day after school or on a weekend, he was on the putting green or at the driving range.
Wink progressed to competing for the Seminole High School Golf Team. He was Florida State High School Champion in his sophomore year, and was also awarded the designation of Athlete of the Year by the St. Petersburg Times. These accomplishments earned him a scholarship to LSU. He then became a presence on the PYCC Golf Course, challenging other golfers and building lifetime friendships.
Wink began working as a golf pro at Isla Del Sol Yacht and Country. After many years and grueling hours that profession takes, he decided to switch gears and partner with his friend in the jewelry business, which came to be C.W. Estate Jewelers. Wink was introduced to Real Estate and immediately had a passion for it, and became very successful with Charles Rutenberg Realty.
He was predeceased by his father Charles Lewis Amerman. He introduced Wink to golf, taught him to fish and gave Wink his fun-loving, outgoing personality, and confidence.
He was the beloved husband of Heather (Feodorov) Amerman. In addition to his wife he leaves behind his sons Vance Charles and James Michael. He also leaves behind his mother Bonnie Amerman Gauspohl, step dad Charles Gauspohl, his brother John Amerman, sister-in-law Michele Amerman, his nephew Jacob and niece Reese.
Celebration of Life is scheduled for Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Pasadena Yacht and Country Club at 5:30 p.m.
