I remember at the closing of his sister's memorial service, he start singing God be with you til' we meet again. A loving song joined in by everyone there. I am sure Joan was right their to greet him, as well as, all his family. He was a loving, gentle soul who was a joy to know. My love prayers for the family. I would have been there at the memorial, if I could have but you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Sending much love and sympathy to Janet, Eric, John, Brian and extended family. We will miss Uncle Elmer very much and pray for you all at this time.

I still remember the time I ran into both Elmer and Norma at Peaches on Bee Ridge one day when Michael and I were having lunch. It was such a treat as I hadn’t seen them in a while.
Elmer was such a sweet man. As a child living nearby I will admit I used to be scared of him but I was also a very shy person. But as I became an adult and had kids of my own I discovered there was no reason to be scared of him that it truly was a caring, sweet man. One that will he missed by many especially his family.
