Frances Landau Ilivicky 

Born October 5, 1931-Brooklyn NY

Died April 11, 2022, Tampa, Florida

Frances went to City College of New York, and received an Early Education Degree and then went on for a Master’s Degree in Reading Education.  She began her career as an early education teacher in New York City. Frances left education for a few short years to have her two children, then returned to East New York where she was Assistant Principal and Principal of an elementary school in Brooklyn, NY. She had over 35 years with the NYC public education system.  After she retired she was a docent for the Jewish Museum in New York City for 20 years.

Frances loved to travel with her husband Marty and friends all around the world.  She was active in Jewish life, serving as President of the Baldwin Chapter of Hadassah where she lived and raised a family for 35 years.  She moved to Queens, NY and lived there for 22 years and along with her husband were snowbirds in Oldsmar, Florida for the last 25 years.  They were active members of Temple Beth Shalom in Roslyn, NY and Congregation Beth Shalom in Clearwater, FL.

Frances and Marty had an extraordinarily close relationship.  They were born two weeks apart and had just celebrated 62 years of marriage this past February.  Marty passed away six days before Frances.  She is survived by her daughter Ellen (husband Dr. Ira Siegman), and their two children Reuben and Eli, and her son, Dr. Howard Ilivicky (wife Dr. Sarah Keller), their 3 children, Isaac, Anna, Sam and her brother and sister-in-law Samuel and Barbara Landau.  She is preceded in death by her brother William Landau.  

The funeral service is at 11am at Congregation Beth Shalom on Thursday, April 14th. The service will also be available on livestream. LIVESTREAM LINK

Burial to follow at Sylvan Abbey 2853 Sunset Point Rd., Clearwater, FL.
