Jackie was a kind, loving, and vivacious young woman who balanced the demands of ranch life and town life in her typical cheerful manner.

Jackie and Tom were active in the International Flying Farmers Association.  Her abilities as a spokeswoman were recognized and she was appointed as the Flying Farmer Queen.  Tom flew her in their own small aircraft all over the United States and Canada.  She made appearances to promote safe flying and the need to mark power and phone lines with orange balls so that pilots could see the lines.

Jackie was an active member of PEO and held offices in Roswell, NM, in Billings, MT, and in St. Petersburg, FL.  She loved working with her PEO sisters to assist in the education of women.  Many of her lifelong friends are/were PEOs.
