Obituary of Anthony C. Pugh

Anthony Carl Pugh was born on Friday April 23, 1993, in Clearwater Florida, known as “Skippy,” by his mother. Anthony was a rare Florida native. Growing up Skippy was a big-time skate and long boarder. He loved rocking out on his electric guitar. Loved the thrill of an escape room and enjoyed testing his luck at the Hard Rock or on a scratch off! He relaxed shooting pool with friends or playing his Xbox at home.

Anthony started his hospitality venture with Sea Hags as a dishwasher. Anthony’s work ethic shined and did not go unnoticed. When local legends Phil and B Alberts sold Sea Hags and opened Toasted Monkey, they brought Anthony along. Anthony spent some time as an expo and a barback. He quickly moved up in ranks making bartender 2 years ago. Anthony spent 9 wonderful years with The Toasted Monkey. Anthony’s exuberant personality was infectious and adored by his coworkers, patrons, friends, and family. He was a compassionate, kindhearted, hardworking young man with so much love to pass along.

Anthony peacefully passed at home September 19, 2021, leaving behind his beloved mother Lisa “Ma” Kraus, His little brother Zach Curry, Grandmother Maria Alessandro, Aunt and Uncle Carl and Su Alessandro, Aunt Carol Coyle, Father Winfred Owen Pugh, and The Toasted Monkey crew.

Anthony will be missed, loved, and never forgotten.

His was a life loved and a life cut too short.
