Henry will be tremendously missed by many. It was always a pleasure to be in his company. Henry is without his lifelong partner, his wife, Doris. May she always feel his love and comfort her forever. He was one in a million. May he rest in peace and beauty.

Dear Doris
We were so sorry to learn of Henry's passing. We so much enjoyed meeting you folks at Pasadena Presbyterian. We had good times with you and Henry with our dinners and the Ray's ball games. May you have good memories of your life with Henry.
Love, Bob and Bonnie Henshaw

Getting to know Henry greatly enriched our lives. We very much enjoyed dining with him and Doris for well over a year before the pandemic, and took great pleasure in the very lively discussions he was likely to initiate. We're still puzzling over some of the conundrums he posed for us! Don't discuss Religion or Politics? They were all we talked about, and it was always enlightening. We fed our minds as well as our bodies in those days! Henry was a blessing to us!

I had the privilege to work with Henry for many years at Entreken Associates and can attest that his unsurpassed knowledge, patience and kindness was only surpassed by the love for his wonderful wife Doris and his family. I will certainly think of Henry whenever I hear a uniquely southern saying ("the demand for great men...") or see a pair of suspenders. He had a long and very accomplished life and will be greatly missed.

My deepest condolences to Doris and the Entreken family. Henry was such a special member of our chapter family for many years and contributed in so many ways. He was the first recipient of our Chapter Lifetime Achievement Award and he always tried his best to personally present this award to those who followed in receiving this award, which was named in his honor. We all have many great memories of Henry and he will be missed at our chapter meetings. RIP Henry.

I worked once with Henry, in 1986- on one of my first appraisals in Florida after I moved here. He was a very kind, smart, generous person. I have not forgotten him and I know he will be remembered by many. I send my condolences to his wife and family.

A true southern gentlemen indeed. Loved the profession. I didn’t get to know him very well, but when as a young candidate I got to speak with him at chapter meetings, he would always speak to me as though I was the only person in the room. Infectious smile and made everyone feel better having known him.

I first met Henry when he taught a class on income appraising at St Pete JC in the mid 70’s. It began a friendship that lasted decades even after Bill and I moved to Ft Myers. We loved meeting Henry and Doris at the Asolo Theater and in later years we’d meet in St. Pete when business or family brought us to the area. Conversations were lively and wide ranging. I can still hear his pleasant Georgia accent. A good friend. RIP.

I will never forget the first time I met Henry; he and my dad were colleagues. A true Southern gentleman, we got to know each other over lunch. This was just before I sat for the MAI Comprehensive exam. Henry was encouraging, passionate, and inspiring. Henry led by example and those who worked with him were indeed fortunate. Henry leaves an impressive, noteworthy legacy, and many of us will miss him.

Early in my appraisal career, my father would send my to Henry's office, just a half block from my father's real estate brokerage firm, for advice and data. Always welcoming, gracious, and generous. Years later, I was thrilled to share the responsibility of teaching introductory appraisal classes with Henry at Bob Hogue Real Estate School. Proud to have known you, Henry, and privileged to have worked with you.

So many wonderful memories of Henry. From my childhood, thinking he was going to marry me and not Doris, riding with him and Doris in their black Chevy and singing "You Are My Sunshine" together, eating meals of "hammus alabamus" with them, and to my last phone conversation with him, he was the quintessential Uncle. Welcoming, interested and interesting, and totally genuine. I will miss him, but I'll treasure the memories.
