Obituary of Richard Paul Domonkas

Richard Paul Domonkas, 81, of Madeira Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2021, with his beloved wife of 60 years, Kathleen, by his side. Richard formerly resided in Akron Ohio, where he worked as a Journeyman Machinist, retiring from Babcock and Wilcox and also Ewart-Ohlsen Machine Inc. Richard and Kathleen retired in Florida, where they enjoyed many sunny years and fun-filled adventures together. Richard enjoyed building cars, racing, bowling, airplanes, fishing, the beach and playing pool. He loved watching his favorite sports teams and was a big fan of the Cleveland Browns, the Cavs, and Ohio State. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Elizabeth Domonkas and In-Laws, James and Natalie Jean Gallagher; cherished son, Joseph; grandson, Vince; sister, Betty Ann and brother in law, Dennis. He is survived by his beloved wife Kathleen (Gallagher); children, Richard (Christine) Domonkas, Kathleen (Steven) Carter, Vincent (Debbie Owens) Domonkas, and Sharon Bryant. Also surviving are his brother John (Connie) Domonkas and sister Roberta (Kurt) Rosio. Special Cousin, Robert Germano, His grandchildren Hannah, Elizabeth, Ericka, Jessica, Patrick, Vince and great granddaughter Elsie; Sisters and Brothers in-law Patricia (Bob) Daly, Berni Lewellyn, Jean & John Heineman, John & Terry Gallagher, Jim & Maureen Gallagher, Maureen & Pat Witschey, Daniel Gallagher, Rose Gallagher, along with several loving nieces and nephews. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
