Obituary of Florence Goldberg

Florence Goldberg was born on March 15,1928 in Bronx,N.Y. and died on April 19,2020 in St, Petersburg ,Florida. She graduated Brooklyn College in 1948 , with a B.A. Degree and went on to obtain a Master's Degree and a P.H.D.in Education. She was a professional opera singer. She sang with the City Center Opera , which then became The Metropolitan Opera Center . She appeared in many Broadway Shows. She taught Elementary school for 34 years in Brooklyn, N.Y. She retired from teaching in 1990. She lived with her daughter, Barrie Goldberg, until 2002 .Her daughter Barrie Goldberg is also an Elementary school teacher. In 2002, she moved to St, Petersburg, Florida and lived with her other daughter, Dr. Heidi Goldberg, where she raised her two grandchildren, Scott and Shaun Neiman. She is survived by her brother Daniel Burdett, her two sisters Leona Graup and Barbra Levy, her two daughters Barrie Goldberg and Dr. Heidi Goldberg, and her two grandchildren Scott and Shaun Neiman. She was a selfless,caring and loving person for all. She will be greatly missed and we will always love her forever.
